Kuari Pass trek at an altitude of 14,000 ft is also known as the "Curzon Trail. Kuari Pass is famous for the spectacular view of India's second highest peak, Mt. Nanda Devi It is also a home to summit views of various other big mountains like Dronagiri, Chitrakantha, Chaukhamba, and Tali top.

This beautiful trek is sprinkled unparalleled scenic trail in the midst of meadows, beautiful forests blooming with rhododendron, and oak trees. Not only that, you also get to admire the beauty & engage with the prelude of India's holiest river - Alaknanda & Bhagirathi which join to form River Ganga as they move down. Follow in the footsteps of Lord Curzon, who first explored this route, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas.

  • Enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of Uttarakhand including Devprayag, Dhari Devi Temple and Rudraprayag.

  • Arrive in Joshimath, a charming town nestled in the Chamoli district.

Public Transport to Kuari Pass Base-station, Joshimath

  • Bus or Shared-Taxi to Joshimath

The nearest Interstate Bus Station is in Haridwar/Rishikesh and the Bus Station/Depot is in Srinagar/Rudraprayag. Reach Haridwar/Rishikesh from Delhi or Srinagar or Rudraprayag from Haridwar or Rishikesh (direct buses are available).

  1. Shared taxi & bus to Joshimath frequently from RIshikesh, Haridwar or Dehradun every morning.

  2. Direct bus or shared taxi to Rudraprayag, Srinagar or Gopeshwar. Step-down at any of the mentioned towns and take a shared taxi for Joshimath.

  3. Direct bus or shared taxi to Badrinath every morning from Haridwar. Get down at Joshimath.

  4. Or you can directly hire a taxi to Kuari Pass Base-station, Joshimath from Haridwar, Rishikesh, Delhi or Dehradun.

Important note: The frequency of direct public transport from Rishikesh/Haridwar to Joshimath is moderately okay.

  • By Train to Kuari Pass Base-station, Joshimath: The nearest railway station is Haridwar or Rishikesh.

  • By Flight to Kuari Pass Base-station, Joshimath: The nearest airport is Dehradun Airport.
